The problem that wouldn't go away

For a long time, I was searching for an expense manager that I'd actually use. I tried Expensify, Monarch, Monefy/Money, Splitwise, Notion templates—and more. Every one of them had friction: too many taps, confusing flows, or plans that didn't fit how I actually spend.

I'm from a tech background, but I noticed something important: most people aren't. And even for me, when I'm out paying for food or rides, I don't want to open yet another app, find the right screen, and type in a dozen fields. I just want to log it and move on.
